Biomass energy: the promotion of biomass energy in the Swiss Energy programme

17.06.03 - As part of the Swiss Energy programme, the Biomass Energy information centre is promoting the use of biomass (excluding wood) for energy production, by indirect methods.

Since 2001, Ernst Basler + Parter has fulfilled the role of Biomass Energy information centre for the use of biomass for energy in Switzerland. The following activities have been undertaken:

• The information centre operates its own website, responds to queries and distributes a newsletter for the sector.
• Information and training events are offered for various target groups.
• We provide information on the subject of energy from biomass at media events and in targeted articles.
• We link up the participants in the market, promote cooperation with related organisations and strengthen the network.
