Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure for St.Gallen

EBP is conducting a study to establish a sound basis for the development of a network of charging stations in the City of St.Gallen. The main aim of the study is to arrive at a reliable forecast of electric vehicle use and rates of power consumption as a basis for determining the number of charging stations and the volume of power that will be necessary for electric vehicles within the designated city sectors.

Our study shows that a steep rise in demand for charging stations in the region can be expected from the year 2020 onwards. In addition to a demand for an increased number of charging stations at company carparks and at strategic locations throughout the city, the demand for small-scale, home-based equipment is also expected to grow.
