Plastics in the Swiss Environment

Plastics and microplastics are omnipresent in our environment. The ramifications this fact may have for us and the environment, as well as the associated need for action have become the subject of considerable political and media attention. In the interest of shedding light on the subject, we completed a meta-analysis of the available literature and identified areas of inquiry that are still in need of investigation. We then compiled our results in an accessible form to contribute to meaningful public discussion.
