Strategic Wastewater Management Planning for the City of Adliswil

Currently, EBP supports the city of Adliswil in revising its General Wastewater Management Plan. This planning instrument represents the basis for the secure operation, maintenance and renewal of the wastewater infra-structure and thus ensures the protection of the water bodies.

The city of Adliswil possesses a General Wastewater Mangement Plan (GEP) which was approved by both the city council and the canton’s government in 1994. This planning instrument has to be revised and amended. The goal is to reach an actualization of the GEP that guarantees a secure operation of the wastewater infrastructure and conserves its values as well as allowing for an up-to-date water pollution control.

The revision’s size and complexity follows regulatory guidelines and respects the actual needs of the city of Adliswil, espe-cially taking into account questions of drainage in developing areas. In addi-tion, it may provide a basis for current and planned projects like the revision of the waste water regulation, facility ac-counting and investment planning.

Providing project management and ex-pert’s backing, EBP support the city of Adliswil as a consultant. This includes the preparation of the GEP’s specification document, the tendering for a GEP engineer and a company carrying out a sewerage video inspection, but also the technical revision of the dossiers. EBP also coordinates the interfaces with neighbouring municipali-ties and with the GEP association of the waste water treatment plant Sihltal.
