The purpose of the Swiss Federal Building Program is to promote (1) the renovation of existing buildings for greater energy efficiency and (2) the use of renewable sources of energy. From 2010 to 2016, EBP was responsible for promoting the federal program throughout Switzerland. This work included the development of a unique visual identity for the program.
In order to raise public awareness of the Federal Building Program, EBP developed various promotional measures and implemented these according to the established annual communication plan.
Broad mix of measures
In addition to creating and operating the www.dasgebaeudeprogramm.ch website, EBP managed the federal media office for the program until the end of 2016 and assumed responsibility for annual reporting.
EBP published information via various media outlets, participated at relevant exhibitions and developed an appealing and clear program flyer to help make building owners aware of the advantages of energy-efficient renovations and the availability of funding programs. A quarterly newsletter was also published to provide information about all Federal Building Program developments.
Uniform and effective promotion of the Federal Building Program by the relevant project participants depends on a clear visual identity. To establish this visual identity, EBP created a program logo, drafted a byline and managed the consistent use of design templates and an entire visual world.
While the various cantons have been responsible for implementing the Federal Building Program and communicating their funding conditions since the beginning of 2017, EBP continues to manage the national website for the Federal Building Program.
