Working on behalf of the Association of Swiss Rapeseed Oil Producers and the Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG), we carried out a study to assess the sustainability of the vegetable oils used in Switzerland. The results of our study indicate that, from an ecological and social perspective, domestically produced oils, especially rapeseed oil, are far more than just a domestic alternative. Indeed, our study offers ample confirmation of the market-differentiation potential of domestic oils compared to imported oils that compete with the domestic products.
