Climate-strategy guideline for municipalities

We provided the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) with technical expertise in the development of a guideline that can be used to draft a municipal climate strategy.

The guideline provides an eight-step approach that small and medium-sized municipalities can use to draft climate strategies (to help them reduce greenhouse gas emissions and/or adapt to climate change). In addition to providing templates, the guideline includes a collection of FAQs, numerous helpful resources, and examples of successfully implemented climate strategies.
