Concept for digitalization in the Vienna home-construction sector

How are cities to respond to the digital transformation that is taking place in the home-construction sector? What opportunities are now available and worth considering thanks to smart-home technology, building information modeling (BIM), additive manufacturing, and mixed-reality applications? Working on behalf of the city of Vienna, we examined these issues and used our findings as a basis for recommending specific actions that will enable Vienna to keep abreast of the latest developments as digitalization continues to change the way new housing is planned, built, and maintained.
