Delcevo Water Supply Project

In the framework of North Macedonia's European integration, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is co-financing the Delcevo Water Supply Project with a grant of about CHF 8.5 million.
EBP supports the city of Delcevo with the planning, engineering, tendering and implementation of new climate resilient and energy-efficient drinking water infrastructure including a water treatment plant for 20’000 inhabitants. The scope of services also includes corporate development support for the water utility, public awareness raising, training and know-how transfer.

Our services

EBP supports this infrastructure project with designing, tendering, contracting, construction supervision, commissioning and putting into operation of the following components:

  • new water treatment plant (5’200 m3/d)
  • solar power plant (250 kWp)
  • two groundwater well fields (4’300 m3/d)
  • two pumping stations, two new water tanks (1’000 m3)
  • rehabilitation of two water tanks (1’100 m3)
  • extension of water supply network (15.3 km).

Further EBP implements a corporate development program which aims at increasing the revenues, reducing Non-Revenue Water and thus strengthening the capacity of the public utility to sustainably operate and maintain the infrastructure.
