Evaluation of the federal climate change adaptation strategy

The Swiss government has commissioned the drafting of a two-part climate change adaptation strategy in order to prepare for the effects of climate change. EBP has evaluated the development of this strategy.

The evaluation is based on an evaluation concept endorsed by the Swiss Evaluation Society (SEVAL) and the Guideline for Effectiveness Assessments. The results of the evaluation take account of interviews with various participating stakeholders, a group discussion with the Adaptation Team of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and secondary analyses derived from existing evaluations.

EBP has evaluated the concept (legal background), its implementation (strategy development) and its output (the two-part strategy), and has also formulated corresponding recommendations for submission to the Adaptation Team appointed by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
