In response to political proposals, the canton of Graubünden, which is already affected by climate change, is developing an action plan. The Green Deal Action Plan complements the existing cantonal climate strategy. We have developed a basic analysis for the canton, which includes an accounting of greenhouse gases and the remaining CO2 budget. In addition, we modelled possible CO2 emission reduction pathways for the canton, as well as for individual sectors. Finally, we conducted a cost-impact analysis of potential measures that could achieve the net zero target.
- Basic analysis, including an accounting of greenhouse gases and CO2 budget
- Modelling greenhouse gas emissions reductions pathways for the canton and for the building, transport/mobility, industrial, energy and agriculture sectors
- Identification of measures to achieve the 2050 net-zero target, including cost-impact analysis
- Preparation of infographics of the most important findings
