ITS-CH Land Transport 2025/30 Concept

The partner organisations of the its-ch transport telematics platform have developed the ITS-CH Land Transport 2025/30 Concept. In addition to a common vision and specific goals relating to the use of ITS applications in Switzerland, the concept presents 12 guiding principles for achieving sustainable mobility.

The project involves working together with the its-ch partner organisations to develop the ITS-CH Land Transport 2025/30 Concept. The focus of this work is to define a vision and objectives for the use of ITS applications in Switzerland. The concept contains 12 guiding principles for contributing towards sustainable mobility. Organisational and leadership issues relating to theconcept’s implementation are also addressed.

The concept is available in the form of a research report (as per the research mandate issued by the Swiss Federal Roads Office FEDRO 2011/003, Report No. 1391, December 2012), as well as a summarised report, on the its-ch website.

The special challenge presented by the project was to arrive at a common vision of how best to develop the applications of transport telematics, and the services that use these systems, in a way that would reflect the multifaceted concerns of the numerous actors and stakeholders involved in Switzerland.

In particular, our work included project and key issue management; substantive preparation; organisation and documentation of advisory committee meetings; transforming the workshop results into guiding principles; drafting the research report; and providing editorial content, artwork, layout and copy for an executive summary in the form of an illustrated brochure.
