Project

Potable Water Management Programme in the Aswan Governorate

We are implementing this SDC program to bring safe drinking water to around 120,000 people in disadvantaged districts of Aswan. We are making the population aware of the value of clean water and supporting the Aswan Water and Sanitation Company to improve its services. Through this mix of organizational development, engagement with the local community and infrastructure development, the program contributes to the development of these districts.

Our services

  • Improving drinking water management and services at supply level
  • Analyzing business processes and improving operations across departments
  • Creating equal access to a reliable drinking water supply for the population in disadvantaged neighborhoods by means of pumping stations, transport lines, reservoirs and renewal of the distribution network
  • Promoting the efficient use of water among the population through cooperation with local promoters, schools, and a community committee
  • Exchanging on best practices in Egypt for safer and equal access to water through a policy dialogue
