Costs of Climate Change in Switzerland
We are examining the costs of climate change in Switzerland on behalf of the Swiss National Centre for Climate Services (NCCS). In collaboration with various project partners investigating other aspects of climate change, we are developing a basis for cost-conscious decision-making. The research efforts are being carried out within the framework of the NCCS Impact Program as part of the project known as “The Cost of Climate Change in Switzerland with and without Global Climate Protection Measures.”
Our services
- Drafting an overview of the various impacts of climate change and adaptation measures along with their costs based on various climate change development scenarios
- Breakdown of the costs that could be incurred by various stakeholders, including the federal government, cantons, municipalities, private industry and private individuals
- Development of products and tools designed to help public and private stakeholders respond to climate change
