The City of Zurich is aiming for a net-zero climate target by 2040. We were commissioned to expand the city’s existing digital energy map EnerGIS to facilitate the transition to renewable heating in Zurich. We iteratively developed and implemented the map using user-centred design (UCD). Within this scope, we added available types of renewable energy, recommendations for heating systems and comparable examples in the neighbourhood.
