Relocation of the Kempt Estuary for the SBB

As part of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) project to increase its railway capacity between the cities of Zurich and Winterthur, we are planning a northward relocation of the confluence of the Kempt and Töss rivers so as to permit occasional floodwaters to flow under the new SBB crossing without flooding the planned Brütten Tunnel. We are also facilitating external physical model tests for testing optimizing our hydraulic engineering project.
